Why We Publish Our Pricing Logic

Most property law firms quote only after an initial consultation. We believe that approach wastes your time. You deserve to understand the fee structure before you pick up the phone. Our pricing is not packaged into tiers or bundles — because property matters don't fit neatly into boxes. Instead, we explain the factors that shape your final invoice so you can make an informed decision about whether legal help is proportionate to your situation.

Every quote we provide is fixed-fee or capped for the defined scope. If your matter grows more complex than anticipated, we discuss the revised scope and cost before proceeding. No surprise invoices. No hourly billing that spirals. This is how property law should work — transparent, predictable, and respectful of the fact that you're already spending significant money on the property itself.

"They told me upfront that my boundary dispute would cost between $3,200 and $4,800 depending on whether mediation resolved it. It settled at mediation — $3,400 all in. Exactly as quoted."
— D. Hargreaves, Palmerston
"I'd been quoted $5,000 by another firm with no breakdown. PropertyWise gave me a line-by-line estimate and came in under their cap."
— T. Nakamura, Darwin CBD
"The conveyancing fee was $1,450. They even flagged a title covenant the seller hadn't disclosed — saved me from a costly mistake."
— R. Okonkwo, North Samanthacester

What's Actually Included in Your Fee

Expand each category to see exactly what you're paying for — and what sits outside the quoted amount.

Not included (disbursements): Land title registration fees ($148–$220 depending on value), search fees ($20–$85 per search), council and water authority certificates, mortgage discharge fees if applicable, stamp duty (government charge — we calculate this for you but it's payable to the NT Revenue Office).

Lease Review — Included Items

Included: Full review of lease terms, written summary of key risks and obligations, identification of unfavourable clauses, suggested amendments drafted in track-changes, one round of negotiation correspondence with the landlord's solicitor.

Not included: Extended multi-round negotiations (quoted separately per round), lease registration if required ($180+), fit-out licence review (separate engagement), bank guarantee or bond advice.

Not included: Town planner fees, surveyor fees, environmental assessment costs, infrastructure contribution charges, council application fees. We coordinate with these professionals but their fees are billed directly to you.

How a Typical Engagement Unfolds

Day 1 — You Reach Out

Send us a brief description of your matter via the form below, by email, or by phone. Attach any documents you already have — contracts, letters, title searches.

Within 24 Hours — Written Fee Estimate

We respond with a clear, written fee estimate. Not a range so wide it's meaningless. A specific number or a capped maximum with defined scope. If we need more information to quote accurately, we'll ask targeted questions — no charge for that.

You Decide — No Pressure

Take the quote, compare it, think about it. We don't chase. If you proceed, we send a costs agreement that matches the quote exactly. If you don't, no invoice, no follow-up sales calls.

Work Begins — Regular Updates

Once engaged, you'll hear from us at every meaningful step. We don't disappear for weeks. If something changes the scope or cost, we tell you before it happens, not after.

Matter Concludes — Final Account

Your final invoice matches the quoted fee plus any agreed disbursements. We provide a detailed breakdown. If we came in under the cap, you pay the lower amount.

"The timeline they gave me was spot-on. Settlement happened on the predicted date, no last-minute dramas."
— K. Whitfield, Alice Springs
"I appreciated that they quoted the subdivision work in phases. I could budget properly instead of guessing."
— M. Esperanza, Katherine
